Eric asked me to write a piece for his "Simplified Violin", a violin strung with all the same gauge of strings. This piece uses all "E" strings, tuned to D, D-flat and D-quarter-flat.

This was the first performance of LiveScore, an interactive network piece with live generated music notation for sight reading musicians. The music is generated algorithmically, and sculpted in real time by participants in the gallery using a MIDI knob box. The recording is a 16 minute excerpt from an hour-long performance.
